Superwinch Partners with Don Schumacher Racing

PUTNAM, CT - OCTOBER 2005 - Superwinch, America's leading manufacturer of winches, power drives, mounting systems, hubs and accessories has entered into a multi-year, associate sponsorship and Official Winch product supplier agreement with Don Schumacher Racing.

Chuck Thompson, Vice-president and Director of Sales and Marketing for the Putnam, Connecticut based Superwinch Company said in a prepared statement: “A tremendous associate sponsorship and product supplier opportunity was presented to Superwinch by Don Schumacher Racing. It was something that we just could not pass up.” He continued: “We are extremely happy to be a part of the Don Schumacher Racing Family.”

Don Schumacher, owner of the largest professional, NHRA team operation said: “We are honored to have Superwinch, a leader in their industry and a long-time supporter of NHRA drag racing as a multi-year sponsor of DSR.”

Superwinch identification will appear prominently on the Brut Dodge Stratus Funny car driven by Ron Capps. Additionally, Superwinch logos will be displayed on driver and crew uniforms, show vehicles, transporters, technology, and hospitality trailers.

Schumacher went on to say: “Although our agreement doesn't officially begin until the start of the 2006 season, as an up-front way to say thank you I have gone ahead and placed Superwinch logos on all of the DSR racing vehicles competing in the final season event at Pomona. Should Ron Capps or Gary Scelzi go on to capture a Funny Car world championship, Superwinch will be part of our celebration.”

Two NEW Winches added to the Superwinch AC Winch Lineup

PUTNAM, CT - JUNE 2005 - Superwinch introduces the AC1500 and AC3000 high-speed planetary winches.

The two new models join the reliable AC line with ratings of 1,500 lbs. and 3,000 lbs. single line pull at 115V and 230V AC and full load amps at 14 or less. Superwinch further broadens the applications for load pulling and positioning.

The AC1500 is rated at 1,500 lb. With 0.60 hp motor, the line speed is 15.5' per minute at full load, with mechanical and dynamic braking. The brake is automatically applied when the motor is stopped with a load attached. Standard features include, freespooling, power in and power out, 3/16” x 35' of galvanized wire rope, wire rope tensioning plate and a 6' Control pendant.

The AC3000 with its 3,000 lb. Single line capacity 1 hp Capacitor Start TEFC motor has an “On Time” of 20 minutes at full load. The line speed is 10' per minute at full load with a full load mechanical brake. The brake is automatically applied when the motor is stopped with a load attached. Standard features include, freespooling, power in and power out, 5/16” x 100' of galvanized wire rope, and a rugged control switch.

PUTNAM, CT, JUNE 2005 - Superwinch introduces their new EP Series Super-Duty self-recovery winches for users who need an efficient, yet powerful, pulling solution. These winches are perfect for heavy-duty trucks and SUV's with their proven strength and reliability. These are the most powerful winches on the market.

The EP12.5 has a rated line pull of 12,500 pounds, a 5.6 horsepower series-wound motor, and 125 feet of 3/8” diameter wire rope. The EP16.5 and has a rated line pull of 16,500 pounds, a 5.6 horsepower series-wound motor, and 90 feet of 7/16” diameter galvanized wire rope.

EP12.5 and 16.5 Series models feature reliable, sealed switching solenoids, power-IN/power-OUT operation, and include a freespooling drum, efficient all-metal, three-stage planetary gearbox, automatic load-holding mechanical brake, 15' handheld remote, heavy-duty roller fairlead, forged hook with safety latch, handsaver strap, and are available in either 12 or 24 volt configurations.
