The 23rd American Towman Exposition was held November 17-20 at the Baltimore Convention Center in MD. With 20 special events, including an exhibit hall packed with the industry's top manufacturers and suppliers, the Exposition is truly the greatest tow show on earth. Nicknamed towing's "Main Event", Baltimore's magnificent, Inner Harbor has become the industry's networking mecca, where tow business owners discover new allies for their business success, new business opportunities, and new friends in a trade that has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share.
Superwinch attended the event with a full range of hydraulic and electronic winches. Sam Brewer of Sam's Wrecker was the lucky raffle winch giveaway winner. Of his two choices, the Talon 9.5 or the hydraulic H10PN, Sam chose the hydraulic winch as his prize. Superwinch attended the SEMA Show, November 1-4. This was the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world! It draws the industry's brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. Recognizing the increasing global appeal of specialty-automotive style and performance equipment, SEMA sponsored its annual Global Media Awards at the 2011 SEMA Show. The awards ceremony attracted hundreds of international buyers, exhibitors and members of the press. Winners were selected by a prestigious jury comprised of le...ading international journalists. .
The voting panel reviewed nearly 2,000 new style and performance products that had been introduced at the SEMA Show. From these, the journalists selected 10 products each that would be of most interest to their publications? readers and most likely succeed commercially in their respective countries. Journalists participated from throughout Asia, Europe, South Africa and South America.
Superwinch received an award for the Tiger Shark 17,000 winch from Motorsport.com (United Kingdom), Two Shoes Innovations (Canada) and Autonews (Germany).

In an effort to raise money for solutions to urgent outdoor recreation issues, more than 50 companies have donated at least 150 products to the nonprofit organization Tread Lightly! for its Fourth Annual Charity Auction on eBay, November 1-11.
One hundred percent of the money raised will go to help keep trails and recreation sites healthy and open to the public. The auction also includes plenty of 4x4 accessories, powersports equipment, outdoor gear and adventure getaways. Bids will start at 40 to 60 percent off of retail prices. Superwinch has donated a Talon 18 SR for this auction!

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - We've all seen the cluster of decals on the bodywork behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels on virtually every professional racing vehicle. Those decals represent contingency sponsors who present cash and prizes to the teams and drivers when they do good things on the racetrack while carrying said decals. Most of the time, those decals represent companies who provide things that make the race car go or stop, such as oil, fuel, spark plugs or brakes. In the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, however, a new decal appeared in 2010 for Superwinch, a Connecticut-based manufacturer of winches who joined the GRAND-AM family as a contingency sponsor for the first time. Well-known wheel stander driver, Danny O'Day drove his Superwinch sponsored 1934 Ford roadster to a new elapsed time record at the Costal Plains Dragway held in Jacksonville, North Carolina on October 15. O'Day posted a 5.47 ET at 128 MPH in the 1/8 mile on two wheels! Congratulations Danny and his wife Donna.

The National Speed Association sled series enjoyed an awesome day of racing on Saturday August 7th at the MSD Powersports sponsored Pro Stock 1000 event at New England Dragway. The weather was fantastic for racing with temps in the mid-70s and no threat of rain in sight. Kristin Stanley (Gray, ME) set a new National MPH Record at the MSD race with a phenomenal 157.14 run in the second round of qualifying. Kristin and her husband Phil race Pro Stock 1000cc (2-stroke) snowmobiles on asphalt (racing together for 7 years). "It was a great day of racing for our series as everyone was flying! New England Dragway is a fantastic place to compete and the race track is awesome" said Kristin after her record breaking run. Superwinch presented her an S-5000 trailer winch for being the fastest qualifier.
