Moab Easter Jeep Safari 2015                                   March 30 – April 5, 2015

Join Superwinch and professional trail guide Hugh Phillips and Nena Barlow for two days of trail runs you won't soon forget. Nena and Hugh are both expert trail guides and trusted Superwinch consultants; they’ll be guiding us over some of the best terrain in Moab. As if that’s not enough, you’ll also get to run with the Superwinch crew. Here are the runs we’re planning:

 

Trip 1 – Metal Masher – 3/31/15

Synopsis of the trip: Metal Masher is one of Moab's famous Jeep trails, though not as nasty as it sounds. Plenty of play options for the big rigs to strut their stuff, but suitable for near-stock 4WD’s who want to enjoy this spectacular red rock landscape. Great views from the edge of Arth’s Pasture Rim and Gooney Bird Rock, and famous obstacles like "Mirror Gulch" and Rock Chucker.

 

  • When:  Tuesday 8:00 AM March 31, 2015
  • Where: Moab, UT Easter Safari: we are meeting at the Gemini Bridges staging area parking lot, north of Moab on Hwy. 191 about 10 miles on the left, just before Hwy 313, across from the Bar M.
  • What:   We will be journeying to “The Metal Masher” and will be professionally guided by Hugh Phillips.
  • Requirements: 32” Off Road Tires (rental Jeeps okay), recovery points.
  • Recommendations: This is a full day trip vehicles should have a full tank of fuel, plenty of water, lunch, and sunscreen.  

 

 

We will be restricting the group to 25 vehicles.  Please RSVP to gplover@superwinch.com or 714 606-9590.  Please provide the following for each vehicle.  If you wish to attend as passenger only please let me know and I will do my best to match you up to a vehicle. 

 

Trip 2 - Golden Bar Rim – 4/1/15

Synopsis of the trip:Gold Bar Rim is one of Moab’s “Classic” Trails with stunning views, stock-friendly challenges, and some optional play spots for the bigger rigs. This is north end of the famous hardcore Golden Spike trail, out to the rim and back.

 

  • When: Wednesday 9:00 AM April 1, 2015
  • Where: Moab, UT Easter Safari: we are meeting at the Gemini Bridges staging area parking lot, north of Moab on Hwy. 191 about 10 miles on the left, just before Hwy 313, across from the Bar M.
  • What:   We will be journeying on the “Gold Bar Rim” trail, professionally guided by Nena Barlow.
  • Requirements: minimum 32” Off Road Tires (rental Jeeps okay), recovery points.
  • Recommendations: This is an approximately 5-hour trip.  Please bring plenty of water, lunch, and sunscreen.
